Sacred Rage
Spring 2004

VOX Feminista's spring show celebrates our passionate call for activism.

Sacred Rage explores and reclaims the transformational power of anger. We question the common cultural definition and suppression of this highly charged and controversial emotion. If we define "Sacred" as "that which wakes us up" then what possibilities does Sacred Rage offer?

We'll explore this question through spoken-word, "Who taught you love is silent? Who taught you fighters are violent?" You can expect gurus gone wild in "The New Rage Movement," an encounter with "The Smoking Nun," and a Presidential Election Workout video. Other videos include "Lesbeau Goes for a Marriage Licence," a comeback of Amy Goodchin, and the comic-strip "MUTATE NOW! There's No Time to Evolve: Wake Up the Apathoids!" a guide to Election 2004.

This show includes VOX members Nancy Norton, Andrea Gibson and Michele Arrieta performing with guests: Mary Dillon, Ellen Feather, and Gracie Miller. VOX is produced by Joy Boston.
