Occupy 2012: Womyn Who Glow In The Dark

vox fall 2011

Occupy 2012: Womyn Who Glow In The Dark, is a radical exploration of power and progress, redemption and resistance. It is a very funny show that exposes the truth about job creators, Rocky Flats, zombies, and the mushroom messiahs, the theater group shines a light on local and global issues.

This show is about power, both our society's addiction to extractive fuels, like nuclear, oil, and coal, as well as the new threats of tar sands and fracking. These destructive technologies are contrasted against the power of the people and the power of the earth to flex, to fix, and to connect. In our new show, Vox celebrates the Occupy Movement, as people around the world create a moral agenda to fight back against the immoral institutions of power, money, and greed that control our lives.

Power is not just fuel we tear from the earth to burn, but it is what we have, and energy is not just what turns on the electricity, but what we can generate, together, as we work collectively to re-create a positive future.
